Welcome to the Seminar of Personnel Economics and Human Resource Management

The Seminar of Personnel Economics and Human Resource Management analyzes personnel management issues by means of game theory, empirical studies based on company data and behavioral economics experiments. Incentive and performance measurement systems, the analysis of compensation schemes and career paths, the evaluation of personnel management measures as well as HR-instruments to implement corporate strategies are thematic priorities in research and teaching. The purpose of our work is to conduct basic research and publish the results of this work in international journals, as well as submitting concrete recommendations for the design of personnel management measures in practice. Consequently, we set two priorities in teaching: On the one hand we equip students with practical knowledge about HR-instruments, on the other hand we ensure the development of profound and scientific methodic competencies.
